North Alabama Pickleball League Doubles

Rules

Goal - Provide an organized and competitive environment for like skilled players.

Divisions

Based on DUPR or previous tournament experience until DUPR is established. Division may NOT be perfect halves. Example 2.5-3.15 based on time of original sign up.

Format

Online based round robin. Teams will have matches roughly every 10 days. Teams will have a match against each team in their division. A match will consist of 5 full games to 11. Top Teams will be rated by number of wins with tie breaker being head to head, then point differential. Finals for each division will be best of 5. Top 2 play for gold and 3rd / 4th play for bronze.

Location

Games are played outdoors with yellow Franklin X-40 balls.

• Athens Rec Center Flex Room (Broken in X40 ball)

Match Schedule / Failure to play

You will be expected to play one match roughly every 10 days per the schedule. IF you can not play in the 10 day period please inform Chase Spitzer 256-800-5575 of why. Matches can be requested to play early at any time. If you fail to complete all matches by the end of league all matches will count as forfeits for league, but you will earn DUPR credit for games completed. Finals must be played within 15 days of the end of the league.

Substitutes

Players may have a substitute with an official DUPR rating that is AT or BELOW that of their partners and within the division they signed up for. Substitutes are not allowed for finals and finals must be played within 15 days of the end of league. If a team uses a substitute more than twice they are not eligible for finals.
